Breathing in Lilacs

This last week my belly seems to have "popped" even more! I am almost at 34 weeks now, and so as you can imagine, my closet/style choices is becoming very limitted ( as I can only use things that stretch enough to comfortably cover this belly of mine) I was so happy when I recieved my dress from Walktrendy and chose to style it a little differently to better suit my current body. I love how it can double as a sort of kimono and when buttoned up the sweetest floral dress! Versatile pieces like this are what makes fashion so fun!
Things are incresingly becoming busier and busier, but that only means alot of new things coming to this blog!

Lady in Red

Layering has become a specialty of mine this past little while...summer just doesn't seem to want to stay; it even snowed again yesterday!
It's during these times -the in between hot and cold- times, that I am thankful for 1-my growing kimono collection (perfect for light layering) and 2-breezy dresses like this one from dresslink which is not only easy to layer, but fun! That's the thing about lace, it adds texture to an outfit, while leaving room for countless styling options (any lace dress can look different on any given day with a different colored slip underneath!).  Dresslink is becoming one of my favorite online shops, as they carry an insane variety of clothing for the best prices. They also have a really great Shop App I recomend you all check out!
I hope you are all ejoying a lovely weekend, cheers!

All for You my Daisy

Wow, life has been incredibly busy these past couple of weeks. Between doctor's visits, planning the baby shower and preparing for our little one's arrival, there's been minimal time to go outside and enjoy the lovely spring weather. These were taken before life started getting in the way of my blog ;) I so enjoyed this outfit...it's definitely one of those looks that just make you feel happy when wearing it. I'm especially fond of this crop top from Style Moi. I've been on the search for one like this, that would be suitable for my final pregant days and work just as well post-pregnancy (which is around a month away already ? :O ) Now that it's Friday it's time to crunch down and finish many of the projects I've been working on since I won't have time next week due to more doctor's appointments, a maternity photoshoot, a wedding I'm photographing and then my baby shower. Phew, time to get back to work!

The Quiet

It's a long weekend, but nothing too exciting happening on my part, I have too much to do. So this weekend will be for planning, jewelry-making and hanging out at home in cute clothes ;) Happy weekend all!

Nesting in the woods

Mother Earth has been proudly showing off her greenery today...and it's no wonder with all the rain we've been experiencing. Everyday the landscape around us changes as the trees begin to bloom and plants take back thier rightful place, sprouting out from the earth. I was only too excited to explore the woods to see spring's progress, but I must admit...the bigger my belly gets, the harder it is not only to find adventure, but to preform every day tasks such as: getting dressed, putting shoes on, walking quickly, any sort of bending, etc etc. Forest really seems to be growing at a faster rate and my tum is bigger than ever at almost 32 weeks. I can't believe how close we are to the finish line. We're focussing all of our energy in creating a welcoming and soothing home for Forest to come into. It's going to be so exciting to see how much our life changes.

31 weeks with Forest

I can't believe I am at 31 weeks with Forest in my belly! Things seem to be going at a much faster pace and I'm starting to feel so many emotions at once: excited, nervous, so in love...We have registered at the hospital and having spoken with the nurses and being in that environment has me so excited I have to stop myself from crying every time I think about it. There is still so much to do though...we still have our move which then means putting together a house (and more importantly Forest's nursery!) to make sure everything is perfect when we get to bring our little bear home. Before that there's still the baby shower and about a million other things to be done. This means calm, adventurous days like this one are extrememly necessary. Taking the time to bond with Gavin and our bump, out in nature....finding new places to explore and just appreciate where we are in our life. The older I get, the more I feel how quickly huge life changes happen, so embracing the quiet moments, and capturing them on film is extrememly important to me. It's definitely something I will make sure to continue when Forest is earthside with us!
