I've got sunshine

Well, I've been absent from this blog for a while; I had my wisdom teeth pulled and then my computer broke, so it hasn't been the best two weeks. I will do my best to keep blogging with whatever I can find until my computer is fixed (fingers crossed that it can be) or until I can buy a new one. I've been pretty busy with school and then spending all of my time hibernating otherwise as it is absolutely freezing here; although these shots were taken on a lovely mild day. I am, however, excited to be sharing some news with you all shortly enough about an exciting collaboration...just waiting for the right time ;) I'm also wanting to give this blog a little makeover, as soon as I can get my hands on a proper computer ^.^
I hope you are all having a lovely January and are staying warm!

ekimo panda

The snow has come back with a vengeance. There is constant white fluff falling from the sky, and it's really beautiful. After classes one day, my sister and I went back to the trails behind our campus and explore while the snow continued to fall heavily upon us. This hat from Urban Outfitters had  kept me warm and kept my ears covered nicely. And so I'm happy to say that it is practical and adorable :) I get smiles and compliments every time I wear it ^.^ It's adorable!

I was enchanted to meet you

Happy Tuesday ^.^ I am in a good mood because of all of the warm weather we've shockingly been granted lately. It feels much like spring when the snow turns to slush and the air is warm...it's wonderful. It also makes me want to pull out my favorite spring dresses, of which this is one of. Other than the unique color, my favorite thing about this dress is the vintage feel it gives. Anyway, the sun is shining and I'm going to take advantage of it. Have a lovely week x

Monday 6 January 2014

we are alive, we will survive this

We were hit with a huge snow storm last night, which is normal for this time of year, but none the less, snow banks are up to my knees and I can only walk where the plows have gone. Obviously I would never be walking without a coat, hat, etc. I shed them quickly to snap a few photos of whatever I'm wearing on that day. Photos of the few coats I have will get boring very quickly and so I will have to suffer through a few minutes of being cold in order to keep this blog  interesting. My second semester has already begun, and I'm a little sad that my hibernating days are over and I have to leave my house every day again...on the other hand, I'm excited to finish everything and start a new adventure! Anyway, I've had these items in my closet for a long time and never seem to tire of them. I own way too many lace white/cream dresses but never seem to stop myself from buying them when I see a new one, no matter how many I've collected.
I hope you all have a beautiful week ^.^ stay warm x

best cardigan award

I'm so thankful I was able to capture these photos BEFORE the freezing -35 weather we're experiencing now. It's a shame because this is when I begin to crave spring and I need to suffer through 4 months of snow still :( Ah well, with work, school and everything else, I will hopefully be busy enough for time to fly by. Anyway, all I've been doing this past week is relaxing, cuddling up in cozy sweaters and hot drinks, spending time with Gavin and working on my art. This is the perfect way for me to end my holidays before I enter my final semester at school. I feel focused and rested (which doesn't happen often); and although I become restless in the winter months; cute, comfy sweaters like this one certainly help ;)

This year...

Well I hope you all had a wonderful New years! As everyone is doing, I'm sure...I have been reflecting a lot on the past year and where I want to move on in the future. This past year meant a lot to me. It was the year I became brave and rid my life of all negativity, excelled in school and most of all, I helped myself the way I should have four years ago. As a result of all of this, I met someone fantastic and fell in love; I can now confidently and genuinely say "I'm happy", I'm graduating in a couple of months and last but not least, I started my blog ^.^
With all of the wonderful happenings and adventures I have had this past year, I just know this next year is going to be even better. And so here are a few goals I have set for myself for the upcoming year.

1.Make this Blog a Priority: I want this blog to become a bigger part of my life. I'm looking forward to expanding its content (probably more so once I've graduated in four months). I'm currently working out a special collaboration that I can't wait to blog more about, and so that's a great start.

2. Chase my dreams: This year will be all about making my dreams come true...or at least taking the right steps. I am moving as soon as I graduate, which will be very exciting. I will hopefully find a marketing or management job in the fashion field whilst working on my writing and blogging of course. I want to travel, attend more festivals and meet new people! These are the main focuses I have for myself this year.

3. Learn something new: Whether it be expanding my knowledge on something I'm already passionate about (art or photography) or diving into something completely new like music or sewing. I haven't quite decided yet, but I would definitely like to attend some sort of class this summer that will allow me to learn new things about something I love.

So there it is. My plans for the upcoming year. Have you got anything interesting lined up?
